CEO – Chief Executive Officer
Guido was appointed CEO, Chief Executive Officer at GKN Hydrogen in April 2023 after having held the position as the CCO, Chief Commercial Officer, since January 2022. Before, he has been part of the executive team at GKN Powder Metallurgy as Chief Operating Officer (COO). The GKN Hydrogen business launched in May 2021 and was created out of GKN Powder Metallurgy. As such he played a key role in the launch and initial phases of development of GKN Hydrogen. Guido has a wealth of technical expertise in the industry having first joined GKN Powder Metallurgy in 1996 as Product Development Engineer at its Sinter Metals division. From 2001 to 2012 he served as Plant Manager, Operations Director and Vice President Operations before being appointed to Vice President Business Development & Strategic Planning in 2013. In 2017 Guido was appointed to Senior Vice President Additive Manufacturing & Business Development. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cologne in Germany.
MD - Managaging Director & CTO – Chief Technology Officer
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Muigg completed his studies and earned his doctorate at the Technical University of Munich. He began his career at AUDI AG in concept development, focusing on ergonomics, user interfaces, and infotainment systems. Over time, his role expanded to include areas of electromobility and connectivity within the AUDI Connect program.
In 2011, Dr. Muigg returned to his native Tyrol to join PRINOTH AG, where he specialized in snow grooming solutions. As Head of Product Portfolio Management for snow groomers, he was responsible for overseeing the vehicle portfolio, developing strategies for digital solutions, and advancing assistive systems.
In July 2024, Dr. Muigg joined GKN Hydrogen as Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, where he leads the company’s strategic and technical direction.
MD - Managing Director & CCO – Chief Commercial Officer
Jim was appointed of CCO, Chief Commercial officer in April 20203 after joining GKN Hydrogen in 2022 to lead Business Development in North America. He is a results-driven executive blending business expertise with technical acumen. Having dedicated 20 years to the hydrogen industry, Jim leverages his background in sales, business development, and systems engineering to create customer value in sustainable energy solutions. Jim joined GKN Hydrogen because he believes storage and distribution are the critical to unlocking the hydrogen economy. Previously, at Plug Power, PDC Machines and Ohmium, Jim’s firsthand experience with fuel cells, diaphragm compression, hydrogen refueling stations, and electrolyzers provide him a thorough understanding of both the supply and consumption sides of the hydrogen ecosystem.
